Amitabha Sen, founder and CEO of Spinor Capital, is a finance veteran with more than 30 years of experience in trading, finance, analytics, and risk management. Prior to founding Spinor Capital, he was with UBS Investment Bank in senior quantitative and algorithmic trading and risk management roles, specializing in derivative transactions requiring complex quantitative expertise in currency, commodities, credit, and equity markets. Earlier, at Swiss Bank O'Connor, he developed a world-class risk platform and many first-in-industry analytics for options and other exotic derivative transactions.

Amitabha holds a Ph.D. in theoretical physics and an M.B.A. in finance from the University of Chicago . Before his career in finance, he made a ground-breaking discovery in Einstein's theory of relativity which led to a new theory of quantum gravity. Educated at Mayo College in India , a premier school for the nation's leaders, Amitabha is a recipient of the Duke of Edinburgh gold award for leadership, the National Science Talent Award, and various first prizes in physics.
